About Me
Howdy!
Let’s put the face behind the name. I’m Cady, and above you can see me and my heart horse, Gunter. I’m obviously a certified horse girl, but I also have a love for photography and other creative and fun things. I’m the only equestrian in my family and I began riding when I was 11. I’m originally from Maine but as a Navy brat, I bounced around quite a bit. But it meant living in incredible places like Okinawa, Japan, and meeting new people.
When looking at colleges I explored different art schools, but when I discovered the only one with an equestrian program, Savannah College of Art and Design, I knew I found the one. There, I combined my love of horses and photography, competed on the IHSA hunter seat equitation team, created an equestrian magazine and started Cady Voyer Photography, now known as Cady Voyer Creative.
I’m a seasoned professional in equestrian media marketing, and for over six years I worked at EQ Media where I managed client social media, developed websites, established brands, covered events and much more.
I now reside near Denver, CO, with my boyfriend and our three dogs Duke, Rosebud and Isabel. We love to be outside and explore the amazing wonders this side of the country has to offer, whether it’s hiking or overlanding trips.
My photography.
I love to capture horses and the bond we are so privileged to share with them. It’s special, unique and so very incredible. These relationships deserve to be shown off, celebrated and treasured forever. I also have a mini-studio where I have a lot of fun coming up with new ways to feature equestrian-related products and their details.
Most of my work is digital; however, I also love to work with film. Every film camera I have worked with has something unique about it and the images it produces, and that old-school feel is hard to beat. I used several different film cameras on a project where I documented the wild horses of Cumberland Island, and got interesting results from each.
When I was working for EQ Media, my work mostly consisted of event coverage and allowed me to capture the action at shows such as WEF, Palm Beach Masters, Split Rock Showjumping Tour, TerraNova Equestrian Center and the IHSA National Championship Horse Show. I also did client portraits and product photography. Several of the images I took were fortunate enough to grace several magazine covers, including USHJA In Stride, The Plaid Horse and the inaugural TerraNova The Equestrian Lifestyle Magazine.
